Tech Talk: Deploy a RAG AI Agent in Python Using Google ADK and Cloud Run

Join GDG Doha for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to build and deploy an interactive AI-powered barista using Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Gemini. This practical session will guide participants through grounding an AI agent in real-world menu data, enabling it to respond accurately to user requests, and deploying it to Cloud Run so it can run online with a shareable URL.

The workshop covers Python, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and cloud deployment. Rather than building a simple notebook demonstration, participants will create an interactive AI barista for a coffee shop that uses actual menu information to answer questions and provide relevant responses.

Designed for participants with basic Python knowledge, this workshop offers a practical opportunity to explore Google’s open-source AI development tools and learn how to turn an AI prototype into a working application.
