Futuwwah: The Code of Honor

Join Dr. Recep Şentürk for Futuwwah: The Code of Honor, a three-part lecture series exploring how the timeless Islamic tradition of futuwwah can guide us in living with honor, generosity, courage, and noble character in today’s changing world.

Presented by Al-Iman Amanah as part of Minaretein Center’s faith-centered initiative, this series examines the foundations of futuwwah in the Qur’an and Sunnah and its relevance to contemporary life. Through thoughtful discussions and reflection, participants will explore the principles of moral conduct, selflessness, responsibility, brotherhood, friendship, and service to others.

The sessions will consider the lives of the Prophets and righteous figures as examples of noble character, the relationship between knowledge and moral education, and ways to revive classical Islamic ethical principles in modern society. The series emphasizes that education should develop not only knowledge and professional ability, but also strong character and ethical responsibility.

Series Speaker: Dr. Recep Şentürk, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU).
